Fuel price feeds
Each state and territory publishes on its own clock. Current within is that jurisdiction’s own window: the smallest delay its source has ever achieved, plus 24 hours. A price older than its own window is overdue; a price older than a day but inside it is simply how often that source publishes, and is not a fault.

Stations is the number carried in the latest map data build for that jurisdiction: every station we hold, priced or not. The fuel browse pages show a smaller figure: the fuel stations we list, excluding EV-only sites. Publishing delay is the smallest gap ever measured between the time a source stamps on a price and the time we receive it. It is a property of the source, which is why it does not drift when a feed stops. In today’s medians is the largest number of stations behind any one fuel grade in the 2026-09-22 daily rollup for that state, not a sum across grades, because a station selling six grades is still one station.

App crash reporting
Whether the app itself is throwing errors (and, first, whether we would even know). A scheduled canary posts through the real reporting endpoint, so an empty error log only counts as good news while that canary is arriving.

What this page cannot see
This page is built only from what an anonymous visitor can read, so that what you see is what anyone sees. Our internal feed-health tables are not public and are not consulted here. If one of them is recording a problem, this page will not know about it. The crash-reporting verdict above is the one exception, and only because that endpoint publishes a deliberately public summary: counts and a verdict, never the text of an error.
The canary proves the server path, not the browser path. It posts to the reporting endpoint on a schedule, so it catches a dead function, a broken insert or a rate limiter gone wrong. It does not run in a browser, so it cannot detect a crash report that never leaves the page, which is exactly the bug that once made the error table sit at zero while nothing was being recorded.
New Zealand is not listed above. WayBeacon holds 1,473 New Zealand stations and shows them on the map, but no per-station fuel price feed exists in that country, so there is no feed there to be healthy or unhealthy. It is an absence of a source, not an outage.
