WayBeacon is made by a small team in Australia. There is one way to reach us: the contact form. It goes to a person, not a queue. You do not need an account to use it.

A price is wrong, or a servo is missing

Prices come from the state government fuel price feeds, and each state decides how often its own feed updates. A price that looks wrong is usually a servo that has not reported yet rather than a mistake in the app, but sometimes it is a mistake in the app, and we want to know which.

Tell us the servo, the fuel type, the price you actually paid and roughly when. That is enough for us to check it against the feed and see whether the gap is ours or the source's. The FAQ sets out where the prices come from, state by state.

The app will not load, or forgot your settings

A blank screen or an error after an update: reload the page. When we publish a new version, a tab left open on the old one is still asking for files that have been replaced, and that particular failure cannot recover on its own. Only a reload clears it. If reloading does not, tell us which page and which browser.

Settings that will not stick: if your browser blocks site data (strict private browsing, blocked cookies and site data, some in-app browsers, or a work device policy), WayBeacon still runs, but it cannot remember anything between visits, including keeping you signed in. Allowing site data for this site restores it.

On the road: Drive mode and the live map are built to be glanceable, not read. If the map goes blank while you are moving, pull over before troubleshooting it.

Your account and your data

You can delete your account and its data yourself, without asking us and without signing in first.

What we collect and why is set out in the privacy policy, and what you agree to by using the app is in the terms. For a privacy request specifically, use the contact form and say so. It is the channel that reaches us.

Trouble signing in is worth reporting rather than retrying: tell us which method you used and what the screen said.

The questions we get most

What it costs, whether you need an account, which states have live prices, how accurate they are, what the truck routing and low-bridge warnings cover, and whether it is safe to use while driving are all answered on the FAQ. Every answer has its own link, so we can send you straight to one.

What each plan includes is on pricing, and about says who is behind it.

What to send us

We can act on almost anything if it arrives with three things: what you were doing, what happened, and where (the page, or the servo). A screenshot beats a description. Add the device and browser if the app itself misbehaved.

We reply to the address you give us on the form, so check it before you send. We read everything, and we would rather have a duplicate report than miss a wrong price a whole town is driving to.

Ready when you are: open the contact form.
