Terms of Service

Last updated 13 July 2026

These terms govern your use of WayBeacon. By using the app you agree to them. They're written to be read — no fine-print traps.

01The service

WayBeacon shows fuel prices, truck rest areas and road hazards on a map, plus optional tools like a logbook, price alerts and route planning. The core app is free to use.

We may add, change or remove features. We'll try not to break anything you rely on without notice.

02Accuracy and driving

Fuel prices, rest-area details and hazards come from third-party government feeds and may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Confirm the price at the pump and the facilities before relying on them.

The fatigue break planner is general guidance based on standard solo-driver hours for the country you are in — Heavy Vehicle National Law standard hours in Australia, and the Land Transport Rule: Work Time and Logbooks 2007 in New Zealand. It is not your legal work diary or logbook and does not replace your obligations under either. It does not model BFM, AFM, approved variations or two-up limits. You remain responsible for safe, legal driving. Never operate the app while driving.

03Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Give us accurate information and don't misuse the service (no scraping, abuse, or attempts to break it).

You can close your account at any time from your account page.

04Your content

Anything you add — vehicles, fill-ups, alerts — stays yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store and display it back to you.

05Liability

WayBeacon is provided 'as is'. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for losses arising from reliance on fuel prices, rest-area data, hazards or route estimates. Nothing here excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

06Paid features

Some future features may be offered as a paid subscription (WayBeacon Pro). Pricing, billing and cancellation terms will be shown at the point of purchase. This section will be updated when Pro launches.
